About All In For Oberlin
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I can't see the All In For Oberlin campaign. Where is it?
Our campaign won’t be live until March 10, one month before our giving day. To view our donor total, dollars raised, challenge or match information, and other updates, visit go.oberlin.edu/allin on April 10.
Q. How can I make my gift securely for All In For Oberlin?
On April 10, you can make your gift from anywhere in the world in one of two ways:
- Visit go.oberlin.edu/allin and click on the “Give Now” button between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. EDT

If you need more information or assistance with making your gift, call us at (800) 693-3167 (between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EDT on Giving Day) or email us anytime at annual.fund@oberlin.edu.
Q. Can anyone participate?
Absolutely! Support from everyone in the Oberlin community (alumni, family, friends, faculty, staff, and students) counts on this day and is sincerely appreciated.
Q. Does 100% of my gift go to my designated area?
Yes, but match or challenge dollars may not count toward the same designated area.
Q. Why is my chosen fund not listed on the All In For Oberlin page?
All In For Oberlin is featuring college and conservatory priorities and areas of need that are especially important this year. We appreciate your support and you are welcome to select "Select the Fund of Your Choice" from the search page to make a gift to the area of your choice.
Q. My spouse is also an Oberlin graduate. Do we need to make separate gifts?
No. Your one gift counts as two donors. Married alumni are counted separately, so you both get credit for your generosity.
Q. What if I already made a gift this academic year?
Thank you for your support! However, only gifts made during this campaign count toward the challenge. If you make an additional gift for All In For Oberlin, it will count for qualified matches.
Q. What are matches?
Matches or matching gifts are a great way to maximize the impact of your giving. Matches are funds designated by members of the Oberlin community to inspire additional gifts. Matches are typically donor-based (e.g., I will match the Class of 2010 dollar-for-dollar up to $250). If your gift qualifies for a match, it will be automatically received by Oberlin. You do not need to notify us.
Q. Can I create a matching gift?
Yes! Email annual.fund@oberlin.edu no later than March 26. Let us know how you want your matching gift to inspire donors!
Q. Is my gift tax-deductible?
Gifts to Oberlin College are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. No goods or services were provided in consideration of this gift. You will receive an email confirmation that will serve as a receipt for your tax purposes. If you did not receive this email, please contact us at annual.fund@oberlin.edu for assistance.
Q. Does my gift count toward my reunion class totals?
Yes. Your All In For Oberlin gift will count towards your reunion class totals.
Q. What is an Ambassador and how can I be one for All In For Oberlin?
Ambassadors are superheroes! They are Oberlin's digital leaders, sharing messages and creating excitement about All In For Oberlin before and during the big day! They help maximize the outreach to Oberlin's dynamic community of alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and staff. They help spread the word and encourage others to make a gift. Ambassadors engage their social networks (utilizing email, text, phone, and social media) and share news about All In For Oberlin. Some ambassadors even motivate giving by offering matching gifts—helping donors’ gifts go further. Your outreach and energy will be a driving force on April 10.
Q. I still have questions. How can I get in touch?
Email us at annual.fund@oberlin.edu anytime or call (800) 693-3167 from 8:30am-5:00pm EDT. We would love to hear from you!
